Privacy policy

Last updated: 17 October 2026

The short version

1. Who is responsible

The controller under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the operator of this website, Crayon Lovers. You can reach us at sunnolelectronics [at] gmail [dot] com or through the contact form.

2. Visiting the website (hosting)

This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (USA). When you open a page, your browser automatically sends technical information that the host needs to deliver the page and protect it against abuse: your IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page, and your browser and operating system. This server log data is stored only briefly by the host and is not combined with other data.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in a secure, working website). Netlify processes the data on our behalf. Data may be transferred to the USA; Netlify protects such transfers with the safeguards required by the GDPR (such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses). See Netlify's privacy policy.

Fonts and all other files of this website are served from our own host. We don't load anything from Google Fonts or other content networks.

3. Anonymous visitor statistics (Umami)

We use Umami Cloud (Umami Software, Inc.) to count page views and a few actions, such as previewing or downloading a book, clicking Donate, or opening and sending the contact form (never the content of your message). Umami does not use cookies, doesn't store your IP address, and doesn't build profiles. It only produces aggregated, anonymous statistics, such as "Dinosaur Days was downloaded 40 times this week".

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in understanding which books are useful, so we can make better ones). More: Umami's privacy policy.

4. Settings stored in your browser

To make the site work the way you left it, we save a few small settings in your browser's local storage on your own device: your preferred paper size (A4 or US Letter), how many books you've downloaded, and whether you've already supported us (so we don't keep asking). This information never leaves your device and isn't sent to us. You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser's site data. Legal basis: ยง 25(2) TDDDG, as storage needed to provide the function you are using.

5. Contact form

If you send us a message, we receive your name, email address, the topic and your message. We use them only to answer you. The form is delivered by Web3Forms, which forwards your message to our email inbox (Gmail, Google). We delete messages when they are no longer needed, unless we must keep them by law.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (answering your enquiry) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our interest in responding to messages). More: Web3Forms' privacy policy.

6. Donations

Donations are processed by Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd.) or PayPal (PayPal (Europe) S.ร  r.l. et Cie, S.C.A.) on their own secure pages. You give your payment details directly to them. We never see your full card or bank details. We receive the information needed to record the donation, such as your name, email address, amount and date.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (processing your donation) and Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR (legal record-keeping duties under tax law, generally up to 10 years). See the privacy policies of Stripe and PayPal.

7. Children

Our colouring books are made for children, but this website is meant to be used by parents, carers and teachers. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children. Children should ask an adult before using the contact form or making a donation. If you think a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we'll delete it.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access the data we hold about you (Art. 15), to correct it (Art. 16), to have it deleted (Art. 17), to restrict its processing (Art. 18), to receive it in a portable format (Art. 20), and to object to processing based on our legitimate interests (Art. 21). To use any of these rights, just contact us.

You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), in particular in the EU country where you live or work, or where you think the violation happened.

9. Changes

We'll update this policy if the website changes, for example if we add a new service. The current version is always on this page.
